Fall Fragrances
Something about this upcoming fall season has me feeling sensuously spicy. Maybe it’s because I’m in the mood for love and adventure? I couldn’t quite tell you why my scent profile has changed, but I’m embracing the transition. I’ve always had a penchant for warm florals that pair orange blossom and jasmine with a gourmand base that lingers with just a hint of musk. Yet, lately I’ve been drawn toward warm and spicy blends with the occasional aquatic notes (Salted Muse, I’m looking at you). Or, something with a bit of rose or powdery musk (cue Dior and Montale scents).
In all honestly, I’m a firm believer in women gatekeeping their signature scent. Scent is intimate, and I’ve always found there’s something far more enticing about blindly experiencing a person’s scent first hand and allowing the memory of the scent to linger unnamed. While I won’t share my most coveted scents, I am sharing ones I’ve been enjoying quite frequently. They’re blends that feed my craving for something spicy and warm with just enough hints of smokiness, aquatic, or earthy notes to pique intrigue. Of course applicable to wear whenever, but I find these fragrances elevate evenings of decadent dinners and sensual date nights. Most are available through Sephora, with the exception of Orebella which is currently sold on its own website, and exclusive through Ulta.
