How Was Your Week?

Have you ever had a week that just felt pummeling? As in, you whole body just felt like life was beating you into the ground? That was this week. Work has been a bit much lately, and a week of PTO is calling my name. It’s Friday, and all I want right now to be on aa restaurant patio gulping down the strongest gin and tonic.

In happy news, I received some lovely feedback on my newsletter Dear Darling which lifted my spirits! It’s free to subscribe, and I’d love to have you. In the meantime, have a loving weekend, and here are few fun things to pique your interest...

Currently listening to Jhene Aiko’s newest release while writing this.

This week on the Dear Darling newsletter I wrote about the decisions that have drastically improved my quality of life as a woman.

I made my first purchase from The Real Real, and am somewhat, pleasantly surprised? Some prices are a bit unsightly, but I’ve also found some unique dresses in the $20-$40 range.

Gen-Z organizations seem to really love Vice President Kamala.

AP News and Google Trends worked together to showcase the top issues people are researching for the upcoming election.

If you’re looking for a new read, the next book I’m reading is about the late, former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst (written by her mother).

If you’re not on Substack, it’s a really interactive place to create and consume interesting thoughts, ideas, and reflections. If you find the right community, it’s a breath of fresh air from more curated social platforms.

Lastly, I watched the Diane Von Furstenberg documentary last weekend, and wow. What a life. Talk about a woman who knows what she wants. A great watch on taking control of your life. •
