How was your week? This week’s been tough. My family has had to deal with some unexpected emergencies, and life has personally required more out of me than I knew I was capable of giving. But, we make it through, don’t we?

I’ve had to put a hold on my traveling until further notice, but it’s giving me the gift to be fully present for my family. Have a beautiful weekend, and here are few fun things to pique your interest...

I broke my months-long blogging fast with a post about the Things I’m Most Afraid to Say. It’s a series where I write all the things I’m too afraid to say out loud. You can find the first one here.

I love this quote from a podcast discussion about the Proverbs 31 woman, and women’s desire to be loved, “We have a sick way of taking our men and putting them on a pedestal and placing them at the thrones of our hearts. Anything that you place at the throne of your heart, The Lord will take from you, because we serve a proud God. It is [God] first, and then it is your husband.” (Skip to 20:08-22:10).

I keep going back to this part in Kendrick’s 6:16 in LA, “God, my confession is yours, but who am I if I don’t go to war? There’s opportunity when living with loss, I discover myself when I fall short.” Whew.

Though, Euphoria has become a certified classic in my household.

This recipe for mushroom pasta has been my go-to lately. Creamy, filling, and quick. In fact, made it last night with a side of broccoli and spinach.

This haute couture inspired mix by phlyszn is so good it makes my 1 hour on the treadmill feel like 10 minutes. Can’t stop listening.

Every time I get in my car lately, the first song I play is Foreplay by Jalen Stantoy.

For summer makeup, this NARS face palette is the only new thing in my beauty cabinet.

I’ve found myself turning to Psalm 31 quite heavily this week. It’s about crying out to God in weakness and in strength, which is exactly how I’ve felt lately.

I keep replaying this clip of Angelina Jolie’s advice on if you’re going through a hard time

Finally, a naughty provocateur playlist if you’re feeling a bit sensuous this weekend. •
